Heart of Darkness

May 2016.
I once gave a man my heart of darkness, through mountains high & valleys so deep, i had dragged this.
Condensed, my love, into the palm of your hand – Can you feel my heart beat? it feels as hot & cool as sand.
Once i gave a man the whispers of a land so far with sad-cast eyes he did turn to me and say; love, you’ve raised the bar.
For though your blood is dark, so thick it flows & boils and mine seldom drips.
And this man who I gave my heart one night I did ask him – Unleash, let go, I’m here – yo uknow? & he cracked me right across the skull and threw my heart into the bin.
I once gave a man my heart of darkness but it wasn’t mine to give I was merely a messenger & deliverance was my tithe.
